Terms and Conditions

 By booking a party through any medium (email, phone, social media, etc.), the Hirer agrees to the following Terms and Conditions. The term "Hirer" refers to the individual making the booking, and all persons using the equipment do so at their own risk.

1. Bookings

1.1 It is the responsibility of the hirer to provide all necessary information required on the booking form at the time of booking and to ensure that this information is accurate. This includes, but is not limited to, informing My Unique Sleepover of where the equipment will be installed, including the floor level and proximity to parking. If My Unique Sleepover is required to carry equipment up or down steps, the hirer must inform us at the time of booking. This ensures we can properly plan for the delivery and installation of the hired equipment.
1.2 If the hirer withholds relevant information that affects the delivery or installation, My Unique Sleepover reserves the right to refuse the delivery and installation.

2. Hirer Responsibilities

2.1 It is the responsibility of the hirer to take all reasonable steps to avoid injury or damage to the hired equipment.
2.2 The hirer must ensure that all equipment is maintained in its original condition for collection the next day. Any damage or loss of items will be charged.
2.3 The hirer has the right to inspect the equipment before we leave and report any damage prior to our departure. The hirer will not be held responsible for any damage caused during installation by My Unique Sleepover staff.

3. Prices, Deposits & Payments

3.1 All prices are subject to change; however, prices quoted at the time of booking will be honoured.
3.2 A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your teepee event dates. Deposits can be paid via bank transfer or in cash if local to St Albans.
3.3 A fully refundable security deposit of £50 for teepees and hire props is required and will be refunded within 4 days of the party end date, provided there is no damage or loss to any of the equipment. The only exception to this will be in regards to cancellations made within 7 days of the event date, in which it may be used to settle the outstanding balance as per Section 4.1 and 4.2
3.4 The remaining balance, based on the number of tents and any extras, must be paid in full on the event date in cash upon delivery and set up. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the event without exception.

4. Cancellations

4.1 My Unique Sleepover requires 7 days' notice for cancellations prior to the party date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the event. The £50 deposit to secure the booking is non-refundable. 

4.2 Whilst the £50 security deposit is fully refundable after the event as per section 3.3, My Unique Sleepover reserves the right to retain this as part payment for any cancellations within 7 days of the party date. The remaining balance should then be paid via bank transfer as per the agreed invoice.
4.3 If a hirer wishes to change the party date, a minimum of 7 days notice is required and is subject to availability.

5. Equipment

5.1 All equipment remains the property of My Unique Sleepover at all times.
5.2 Any damages or stains to tents, bedding, or other hire items will result in the holding of the £50 security deposit. If this does not cover the cost of cleaning or replacement, additional charges will be invoiced to the hirer.
5.3 Damage caused by neglect, misuse, or failure to follow instructions will make the hirer liable for full repair or replacement costs, including any loss of business.
5.4 All sizes quoted are approximate.
5.5 My Unique Sleepover reserves the right to substitute hired equipment with items of similar value and type without notice in the event of previous loss or damage.
5.6 Equipment should be used only for the intended purpose. Climbing or hanging on tents is dangerous and must not be allowed.
5.7 It is the hirer's responsibility to supervise children at all times while using the equipment.
5.8 My Unique Sleepover recommends its services for children aged 6 and above. Any child under the age of 6 must be supervised at all times and must not be left overnight in the equipment unsupervised.
5.9 Smoking is strictly prohibited, and any signs of cigarette smoke on equipment will result in the withholding of the £50 security deposit.
5.10 All shoes and sharp objects must be removed before using the equipment.
5.11 We ask that pets are kept away from the equipment to avoid damage or excessive cleaning due to pet hair.
5.12 To avoid irreversible stains, we kindly ask the following:

• Ensure any nail varnish is completely dry before entering the tents.
• No food or drink should be consumed on or near the equipment.
• Makeup should be removed before using the bedding.
• No pens, paints, crayons, markers, or glow sticks should be used near or in the equipment.

6. Delivery, Installation, Site Locations, Facilities, and Conduct

6.1 All equipment is delivered, assembled, and styled by My Unique Sleepover. Delivery costs are not included and will be quoted at the time of booking if necessary.
6.2 We will ensure that all equipment is safe and functional before installation.
6.3 In the event of traffic or other uncontrollable circumstances that delay delivery, My Unique Sleepover will offer a pro-rata reduction in the hire fee if the event start time is delayed.
6.4 The hirer must ensure there is adequate space and access for the delivery and installation of equipment and inform My Unique Sleepover if the party is to be held on an upper floor or external building. Additional charges may apply in these cases.
6.5 The party area must be clean and ready for installation. My Unique Sleepover will not move the hirer's furniture or belongings to make space for the setup. If we are delayed by the need to clear the area, there will be a charge of £15 deducted from the security deposit.
6.6 My Unique Sleepover reserves the right to refuse delivery and installation if the venue is unsuitable, in which case the hire fee will not be refunded, but the security deposit will.
6.7 Once installed, the hirer must not move or tamper with the equipment, and all items must remain inside the home.
6.8 We reserve the right to remove equipment if the conduct of the party is deemed dangerous to guests or the equipment. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
6.9 My Unique Sleepover will return the next day to dismantle the equipment. Any delay in access will incur a charge of £10 per 15 minutes, rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes.
6.10 Smoking is strictly prohibited. If the venue smells of cigarette smoke, we reserve the right to refuse delivery, in which case the hire fee will not be refunded, but the security deposit will.

7. Liability

9.1. My Unique Sleepover will not be liable for personal injury or death caused by negligence, except as required by law.

9.2. The Hirer is liable for any breach of contract.

9.3. Liability for all claims is limited to the price paid by the Hirer.

These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between the hirer and My Unique Sleepover. By proceeding with a booking, the hirer accepts these Terms and Conditions.
